HISTORY:  The Yamhill County Genealogical Society was founded in 1980 by some very dedicated genealogists and we endeavor to continue the organization in that spirit. 

MISSION STATEMENT:  The purpose of this organization is to educate Society members and the public in genealogical research and to record and preserve genealogical and historical records.

OBJECTIVES:  To instruct members in research through monthly educational meetings, to create an interest in genealogical and historical material, and to publish genealogical and historical records.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY:  It is the policy and commitment of the Yamhill County Genealogical Society that we are an all-inclusive organization that does not discriminate based on race, age, color, sex, gender, national origin, religion, physical or mental ability.

Any member, volunteer, vendor, client or other affiliate of the Yamhill County Genealogical Society that believes in good faith they have been harassed, intimidated or discriminated against by any person involved with our organization is strongly encouraged to immediately report their concerns to any board member or general member for prompt review and action if needed to maintain a safe space for everyone researching their family history.

Harassment, intimidation or discrimination, including abusive, foul or threatening language is prohibited and may be grounds for association with our all-inclusive organization being terminated.
